Bazaar Sunday
So today was a little interesting. I use smugmug to store my photos and its a convenient way for me to integrate my Lightroom program and prints. A few months back I had taken photos of some of the gentleman that are at the bazaars I like to shop at and today was able to bring prints to them. You’d think I had brought cash to the bazaar and asked to just give it to them. I was overwhelmed with how many of the men were so excited to be able to hold a photo of themselves.
I came back an hour later with my camera and held a photoshoot with any of the men who wanted their photos taken.
Some did the stern glare at the lens.

Another would keep his eyes averted.
Some looked uncomfortable about how to stand.
My favorite was the older man, he would hold his head up a little higher in a prideful pose.
I can’t wait for smugmug to ship my prints so they can get copies. I’m also looking forward to having the chance to work with some of the gentleman that sell rugs and jewelry. They want me to come back again.

A great oppurtunity to practice a few different angles with such willing subjects, and such interesting responses to the camera!

Great shots, it’s nice that you are giving them copies. Interacting and getting to know the locals a bit. Reaching out lets them know Americans can be caring and take the time to get to know them as people. Love you <3
Good for you, Jenny! I think you’re really brave to ask to take photos of multiple strangers! They turned out really well! It made me feel really happy that they were so happy about getting photos of themselves!
Thanks Christine… I am hoping to get over my fear about asking people, these guys made it easy. It makes me smile to when the prints get here.
You are adorable in your uniform!!
LOL Thanks, I’ve always felt like a kid playing dress up… ;o)
