Happiest of Valentines

While today is a day of marked on the calendar and advertised with all Jewelry stores across the globe of hearts and chocolates, I have to say for me, every day is Valentines.

I am married to the most amazing man who I fall deeper and deeper in love with each and every day. Every amazing adventure we take on together, and even each significantly emotional event that challenges us makes me grateful I have my best friend by my side.

I can remember as a teen reading romance novels and hearing tales of love and wondering if it was all just a glorified emotion that had people in the throes of hope. And then of course Harlequin had me believe it had to be built up on drama & running off into the distant reaches to be rescued by your hero to be true! (Come on you remember those paperbacks) ;) Thank goodness I figured out … what it is is finding that one person that you can just be you & except for them. No Drama Required …

Over the last 10 years we have had our ups and downs, our separations apart, we got to know each other and become friends. And 6 years ago next month we married before he did his second deployment to Iraq. We have been blessed to be together side by side since 2008 with pretty short separations in between now and again for work and now we are blessed to have each other to lean upon for our current “adventure.” It is what you make it – and for me its a romantic moment that we can be together.

On of many moments where life is just GOOD ... Adventures never end

On of many moments where life is just GOOD … Adventures never end

Never take for granted the love you have in your life, family – friends – and hubbykins. And don’t wait till Valentines to say it… but do :) Say Happy Valentines, its a lovely little way to say “I heart you”

And just because it’s Valentines doesn’t mean you can just kick it and eat bon bons. Thanks to “I Train Therefore I Eat” for motivating my butt to get out and tackle a pyramid.

  1. Happy Valentines to you as well! Congratulations on almost 6 years! That is pretty exciting!

I’m so grateful for my non drama relationship with Mr Bean as I don’t know how I would have survived the last years without his love and support.

Can you tell me what a kettle bell glute bridge is please? I know what a glute bridge is but I have no idea what to do with the kettle bell. Haha.

    • Awe… I’m always so happy to see the fun posts of you and your hubby. When you were doing your photo class he was so supportive of the fun shots! :)

On the glute bridge its the same, only using a KB to hold it over your pelvis region (If you click the link for I Train she gives a tip of putting a towel if the KB on your lap is uncomfortable) I have a hard time with them my hips/glutes are WEAK. Doing this gave me a good idea on some areas I haven’t been working

I'd love to hear what you think, let me know you've been here with a hello. All comments are read and if you leave your blog address I'll be sure to visit!
