San Fran with my Mermaid
Phew, sorry to have dropped off the blogosphere, but I had SUCH a fabulous time with my daughter and parents along with friends, that hunkering down over the iPad just didn’t happen.
Currently I’m in North Carolina, so these are from last week, continuing on from my last post where I had been able to get a peek into my daughters adult life. Thursday we woke up early to head back over to L’s place to do another makeover and this time I would do the photo shoot … we had a BLAST. It was so fun working with L and K. These girls are adorable and don’t let the sweet smiles fool you – they know how they want their product style to look like. I was extremely impressed with their business ideas and plans. A few photos from the Penthouse shoot:
Of course I had to include ONE of the “photographer… afterwards we wandered down Powell to Sephora, where K had a plan to re-introduce her non-makeup wearing Mum to the world of color and glamour. I must say, it was QUITE fun. I had lost touch with the fact that there were so many anti-aging products and colors for eye-liners, or ways to put them all on. The people that she works with at Sephora were all wonderful, telling me little snippets of how much they enjoyed working with my daughter and her style, as well as making me feel comfortable getting a makeover.
After my makeover we went to Mission and had fun at some thrift shops and ate a tasty lunch at the Tacqueria. We then took a walk to Delores Park, what a view! You know I grew up in California and had been to San Francisco so many times but seeing the City through her eyes just gave me a completely different perspective of what it is like for her living there. Of course the day was not complete without a venture to Embarcadero to view the Bay Bridge at night.
I’m slowly settling into Georgia … but that is another blog I’ll have internet back on Monday so I will catch up soon, as well I’m looking to catch up with blogs I’m following to see what has been up with you!
